A short introduction to the Mastering Academy
Founded in 2015, students learn the complete knowledge base around Mixing & Audio Mastering and apply it practically. As the first school Mastering Academy offers a holistic skill enhancement with a perfect balance of theory, coaching, and hands-on training to become a certified Mixing & Mastering Engineer.
The Mastering Academy focuses on both most important and also difficult tasks of an audio engineer. This fills a huge gap in the landscape of audio engineering schools: The innovative approach to teach these nonlinear and complex skills.
The team behind the Mastering Academy
The Mastering Academy consists of a team of 10 members ranging from audio experts to consultants. Creative mind of the Mastering Academy is Friedemann Tischmeyer, worldwide renowned Mixing & Mastering Engineer.
In one-on-one sessions he has trained professors of audio faculties worldwide systematical learning methods around audio engineering for countless students. But let’s have Friedemann introduce himself with his own words..

Friedemann Tischmeyer
Friedemann Tischmeyer is one of the most recognized audio coaches in the industry.
He is not only the founder and head coach at Mastering Academy but also created renowned music production companies like the high end plugin company MAAT.digital and is consultant to many companies leading the audio space such as PreSonus, Steinberg, Apple, Sony or Yamaha.
The Mastering Academy Headquarter
Mastering Academy has opened late summer 2014 in Hamburg, Germany.
The roomy studio is operated by MA founder Friedemann Tischmeyer with perfect acoustical environment filled with excellent equipment. The studio was designed with a team of specialists within 1 year construction time.
