Mix Submission

Here is a quick description of how to submit your mix for Mixing Elevator.

Please make sure that you choose a song whose copyright and performing rights you can fully dispose of, so that it is ensured that we can work with you live on the song without infringing the rights of third parties.

Cover songs are unsuitable for this, as YouTube would suppress the audio.

Please send us your stereo mix in 44.1 kHz sample frequency and 32 bit floating point resolution and add bpm information and your full name to the file name.

So that we can contact you, it is important that you attach a small text file with your name, e-mail address and telephone number with country code and pack the files you send as a ZIP or RAR file before you upload them.

Your package therefore consists of one text file and a stereo mix.

We deal with one song per Mixing Elevator show, so unfortunately not all songs can be considered. All unused songs will be deleted from our hard disk at the date of the first show.

After you have ticked the disclaimer text, a Dropbox invitation link will appear.
Drag and drop your file archive there.

Be aware that after you have uploaded your Zip or Rar file there is no option available to undo your upload.

The Mixing Elevator Dropbox is set up and maintained by Mastering Academy.
All content uploaded to such Dropbox link fall under the following regulations.
The Mixing Elevator Live Show is a free-of-cost service provided by Mastering Academy GmbH.
The person uploading the content („Submitter“) is entirely responsible for the content.
The selection of content for editing and broadcasting in the framework of the Mixing Elevator Live Shows rests solely with Mastering Academy. All submitted content that is not chosen to be used during the Mixing Elevator Live Shows will be deleted completely on the date of the first Mixing Elevator Live Show. Submitter therefore confirms to be in possession of at least one additional copy of the uploaded content.
Mastering Academy is not liable for any loss or damage to uploaded content, whether partial or complete, nor does it assume liability for illegal redistribution of such content in any form, e.g. through third party intervention.
Submitter grants to Mastering Academy the right, only for the purpose of carrying out live mixing and mastering in the framework of the Mixing Elevator Live Shows hosted by Mastering Academy, to publicly broadcast the submitted content, to stream it via a video content portal to public viewers, to edit/manipulate, to save, to store and transfer the uploaded content within the scope of what is technically necessary for conducting such live event, in particular also to store content on computer systems, the usage of content in the framework of digital audio workstations (DAW) and associated software and hardware.
Submitter confirms to be in possession of all necessary rights to sub-license the content to Mastering Academy for the purpose of public manipulation and broadcasting, as set out in §7.
Submitter confirms, that the content does not concern any rights owned by collecting societies, or infringe any intellectual property rights of any third party worldwide.
Submitter shall keep Mastering Academy and it’s partners free from any third-party claims, such as recourse claims and intellectual property infringement claims.
Mastering Academy does not acquire any intellectual property or distribution rights, except from manipulating and broadcasting the content in the framework of the Mixing Elevator Live Shows.
